A Weekend Visit to the Winter Farmers' Market
The Wayland Winter Famers' Market provides Marlborough residents the chance to stock up on fresh, locally grown and produced goods.
Local farmers’ markets are the calling card of summer. Outdoor booths and tables boasting locally grown fresh produce and hand-crafted goods await eager residents. But once winter storms come, the local vendors seemingly vanish until the following year.
Russell’s Garden Center, however, provides a solution to those winter-time blues and void of local goods. Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the center, at 397 Boston Post Rd. in Wayland, hosts the indoor Wayland Winter Farmer’s Market.
Fresh seafood, fair trade locally roasted coffee, artisan breads, pastries, a variety of root vegetables, and the list goes on of the goods available at the winter market. And don’t forget the abundance of available samples!

Grab your friends and family and head over to the winter market this Saturday to fill your kitchen with fresh, locally produced goods and to support our local businesses. There are only a couple more this season as the last Wayland Winter Farmer’s Market will be on March 12.
