100 Years Ago: Marlborough is 'Baseball Crazy' During 1911 World Series

Just about every day Marlborough Patch will highlight an interesting story from the Marlborough Daily Enterprise published on that date 100 years ago.

Marlborough is undoubtedly baseball crazy at the present time and it is doubtful if any world's series have ever aroused the interest that the present games have stirred up here. Tuesday afternoon it seemed as though the entire city was anxious to hear the results and from 3 until 5 one of The Enterprise staff was kept busy answering inquiries as to how the two clubs stood. Sympathy was unquestionably with the Philadelphia team and from expressions heard outside.
