Marlborough Historical Society hosts Ice Cream Social

The Marlboro Historical Society will host an Ice Cream Social August 3 from 1-3:00 P.M. at the Peter Rice Homestead at 377 Elm Street, Marlborough.  The ice cream will be provided by The Creamery. The Ice Cream Social will kick off the Society's Annual Membership Drive for 2013/14.  The Marlborough Historial Society would like to take the opportunity to thank past members and volunteers for their support.  The Society is an all-volunteer organization which manages with little support from the city government therefore members play a vital role in its continued growth.  Our heritage is important on so many levels.  The future often depends on how we see the past. In 1964 the Marlborough Historical Society was founded at the behest of Mayor Kuson Haddad.  As we approach our fiftieth anniversary we hope that the community will join us in helping to keep the fine heritage Marlborough has alive and there for the generations to come.
Please plan to come down on August 3 and visit the Peter Rice Homestead and enjoy our ice cream social.  Make this an opportunity to connect our many yesterdays, to the hopes and plans of our tomorrows.
