'Our Children, Our Future' Theme of Upcoming Labor Day Parade
Marlborough's 60th Labor Day Parade around the corner
Marlborough's 60th Labor Day Parade is in preparation and the theme will be 'Our Children, Our Future'. Mayor Nancy Stevens reminds everyone that "The parade is an ongoing symbol of our City's heritage and traditions."
Parade Director Ed Thurber stated, "It is important to remember that our children hold the key to our hopes, dreams and expectations for the world of tomorrow. The values, principles, knowledge and skills that we instill in our children today form the foundation on which that future is built. I am asking that all entries in the parade incorporate this theme/concept into their entries and floats."
The parade will commence at 12:00 noon on September 5 and will follow the traditional route - Lincoln St - Broad St - West Main St - John/Harvard St.
