60th Labor Day Parade A Treat For All

Labor Day Parade brings joy to all on a beautiful day

Marlborough's 60th annual Labor Day Parade took place Monday, Sept. 5 attracting large crowds that lined the streets of the city. A total of 123 marching units  consisting of floats, performers, marching bands, large and miniscule vehicles, motor bikes, mounted horses and others took part creating a colorful and diverse spectacle.

Also coming out to meet and greet the crowds on this perfect day were U.S.Senator Scott Brown, and several Marlborough Mayoral, City Council and School Committee candidates.

Marlborough resident Steve Symes, who reincarnates Abraham Lincoln annually, donned his costume for the 26th year, much to the delight of parade fans who eagerly awaited his arrival and the opportunity to pose for a photo with "Abe".
