AMSA gives Hour of Code at Boys and Girls Club

As part of the “Hour of Code” initiative, launched by code.org, the Computer Science Team at the Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School conducted an hour of code event at the Marlborough Boys and Girls Club last Thursday afternoon on December 12th.

Two AMSA Sophomores, Sasha Stein, Hudson and Megan Balcher, Townsend with their CS Teacher, Ms. Laidley, led twelve fifth and sixth graders in their journey to code their very first mobile app! All of the participants experienced what it is like to code and earned their badge of being true technology innovators. The AMSA team declared the hour of code at the Boys and Girls Club a huge success and were thrilled to take part in the hour of code with their creative young neighbors!
