Who's on the Nov. 5 City Election Ballot?

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. Depending on their home address, Marlborough voters will be asked to decide among several contested races on Tuesday in the city elections. The ballots are available on the city website. The contests include a contest in Ward 2 between Paul R. Ferro and Robert D. Page, and another race in Ward 5 between John J. Irish and Carlos Valadares. The School Committee has a race for three spots. On the ballot: Michelle B. Bodin-Hettinger, Mark E. Hediger, Earl J. Geary and Denise E. Ryan.

2. Know you're going to have extra Halloween candy and don't want to eat it all? Consider donating it to troops serving overseas. For other ideas, read this post.

3. Do you have a favorite spot to watch the Red Sox in Marlborough? Tell us where you like to see the games. We're compiling a post on the best spots, and could use some suggestions. Leave a comment on this story, if you have a good spot to share.

4. Interested in selling something, or just making an announcement to your neighbors? Here is where you can do that, for no charge. Post on Marlborough Patch's boards.

5. In Case You Missed It: The Massachusetts State Police will hold a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in Middlesex County.
