West Nile Virus Found in Marlborough Mosquitos

Here are five things you need to know today.

1. Today's weather should allow the area to hit the high 60's. Summer may be gone but it doesn't mean we are jumping right to winter either. But if you are out between dusk and dawn you had better cover up because of a recent development in the mosquito population in Marlborough.

2. A West Nile Virus positive mosquito has been identified in the North West Quadrant of Marlborough. The state not only sprays for the insects, but also monitors their population. Even though we have had some cold nights the bugs are still out there and you still need to take precautions.

3. There is a Special State Election coming up on Oct. 15. This will be the primary run up for the 5th Congressional District Seat. Get your important Marlborough voting information here

4. It is time to check your fridge. Make sure the greens in your house aren't part of a recent salad recall.

5. Finally. An important fall question has been addressed: which apples make the best pie?
