Scholarship Applications Available at Solomon Pond Mall

1. Simon Youth Foundation will award a $1,500 college scholarship to a high school student who lives in each community that hosts its mall properties, including Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough. The application period is open from now until Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014. In Marlborough, students can pick up a copy of a scholarship application at the Simon Guest Services Center at Solomon Pond Mall. Applications also can be downloaded at the SYF website (applies for students interested at Greendale Mall) at www.syf.org/our-initiatives/scholarships/community-application.

2. Marlborough Public Schools will have an early release day on Wednesday, for all grades.

3. The Whitcomb Middle School winter concert will be Wednesday night. Other schools will have performances this week, too. Check the schedule here.

4. A new indoor playground, Hop n Jump, will hold a Mommy and Me time Wednesday, starting at 11 a.m. The business is at 72 Jefferson St., Marlborough.
