Polls Open in Marlborough for City Election

Here are five things to know today to help inform your day.

1. Voters in Marlborough will decide on a local ballot of candidates Tuesday. The polls are open in the city from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For the list of who is running and who drew opposition this year, see this voting guide.

2. A cold day Monday will give way to an only slightly warmer one today. A high of 45 degrees is expected, but sunny skies will help. Wednesday will be warmer: a high of 56 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

3. The Marlborough City Council on Monday approved by a 10-1 vote a new senior center for a location in Ward Park. Supporters for the project did attend the meeting, but in smaller numbers than opponents. 

4. WMCT, the community access TV channel for Marlborough, is producing a Day in the Life series, and recently followed a Marlborough police officer on the night shift.
