New Retail Store Coming to Marlborough

1. A savers thrift store is set to come to Marlborough. The store accepts donations and sells used items back into the community.

2. While some councilors argued the merits of this kind of business in Marlborough, others cited the success of other Savers locations. City Councilor Edward Clancy said that during a trip to the savers in Framingham the store was busy and doing a great deal of business.

3. City Councilor Donald Landers said that the company is likely to put around $1 million into renovations of the store front. It was also pointed out that the store is fully taxable.
