2. Charles H. Griffin, 44, of 181 Boston Post Road East Apt. 54 was arrested on Boston Post Road on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, vandalizing property and resisting arrest. He, according to police, used a mop with a long wooden handle in an attempt to assault a relative and then when the police arrived he damaged the bumper and hood of a police cruiser by throwing the mop against the cruiser as he was resisting arrest.

3. During a call for a possible break-in to a motor vehicle on Chestnut Street, police arrested Samuel Calderon Ruiz, 28, of 123 Broad Street Apt. 1 in the area of Chestnut and Sumner Streets on charges of Class B (cocaine) drug possession. He was observed in the area, said Police Detective Scott DeCiero, and was at some point frisked for weapons by officers. That is when they allegedly found a "clear plastic bag containing a white, powdery substance consistent with cocaine," he said.

4. Police also arrested Adam R. Houde, 29, of 15 Mill Street N. on 26 Gleason Street Ext. Apt. 1 on two charges of vandalizing property and one charge of resisting arrest who allegedly smashed a double pane window and damaged a kitchen counter top before resisting arrest during a domestic disturbance.
