1. Sky High Studios, which hopes to open an aerial fitness studio in Marlborough in the Antico building on Elm Street, is expected to be considered Tuesday at the city's Urban Affairs Committee. The studio needs a special permit because its proposed location, at 289 Elm St., is in a light industrial zone, and its proposed use is recreational. The studio has temporarily relocated its classes and workshops to Sudbury.

2. Block Engineering, which has headquarters on Simarano Drive in Marlborough, announced this week that it has signed a long-term agreement with a company in the oil and gas drilling industry for one of its new products. The contract applies to Block’s Mini-FT (TM) Spectrometer, "which provides for real-time monitoring of C1-C5 hydrocarbons to enable drilling operations to proceed more efficiently with better knowledge of the underlying geology." Block has about 25 employees in Marlborough.

3. The city of Marlborough this week accepted a $2,000 gift from Digital Federal Credit Union to be used for youth programs.

4. Another gift, of $1,501, was sent to the Marlborough Police Department by Companion Pet Sitting/K-9 Hydrotherapy of Marlborough, to be used for the police dog Kaiser's training needs.

5. In Case You Missed It: Doris Brodeur Wellen, 95, of Marlborough, a longtime volunteer at Marlborough Hospital, has died.
