The Post Road Art Center announces a Call to Artists for " Floating” 2012 Submissions will be accepted August 23- 30th. The judge for this show is Elizabeth Geller, Head of the Corporate Art Program at the DeCordova Museum. All media accepted in any style, L + W up to 72 ", 3D not to exceed 30" l+w+h up to 72". Cash Prizes awarded for 1st (75$), 2nd(50$), 3rd(25$) and Peoples Choice (50$). Opening Reception Thurs. Sept. 4th 5:30-8:30 pm. The show runs through Sept. 26th. More About Post Road Art Center
This art mecca is set up in a bright purple house with a Mona Lisa door, right at the start of 1 Boston Post East. There is a large parking lot out back. This shop features certified framers and has walls covered in those little right angle frame samples. It also has a shockingly wide selection of local and regional art and artistic gifts and jewelry. Little porcelain fish with human faces, sand art and sterling charms are just a few examples. This place is sprawling and all the art is for sale. Post Road also holds seasonal art shows.
