Each Wednesday, 11 preteens dive into Money Matters; an after school program offered by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metrowest. The Money Matters program teaches financial responsibility and independence among Club members in grades 6 and up. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, start a small business and pay for college. The "Walking School Bus" program began at the Richer Elementary School Wednesday with special visitors and members of the FINZ from the Worcester Sharks. For the Walking School Bus, students, along with parents and some teachers, met at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot at the Ninety-Nine Restaurant on Boston Post Road West, and walk to the school together on Foley Road.
