The Baldelli family was honored of the opening day of the 20th season of the Marlborough Girls Softball League for donating the field they played on. It was a community event this past weekend at Greater Grace Christian Fellowship on Pleasant Street. Several local churches and more than 60 individuals took a part in staging "Walk to Calvary—An Easter Cantata: A Prelude to the Resurrection." All sorts of people were hitting the hill at Ghiloni Park on Thursday celebrating the recent arrival of about a foot of snow. The winter storm warning from the National Weather Service was expected to end at 6 p.m., with another day of decent sledding conditions ahead. Marlborough residents came out to support the work of the Marlborough Education Foundation last week in a roller skating event at Skate Palace in Hudson.  Marlborough Education Foundation was founded in 1997 by parents of children in Marlborough's school system. It's run by volunteers, with all proceeds going towards purchasing and funding equipment for Marlborough's school system. Main Street Marlborough businesses were out in full force to support the community and its costumed children on Friday evening. The third annual Halloween Horribles parade drew many hundreds of residents for several hours. Children went from storefront to storefront collecting a wide assortment of goodies, and finished the night by marching in the Horribles parade, led by the Whitcomb Middle School Marching Band. The city of Marlborough hosted hundreds of residents, government officials and several guest speakers at the memorial observance of the September 11, 2001 attacks Sunday morning. Proceedings began at 9:58 a.m. to commemorate the moment the first tower fell. Here is a collection of photographs from the event.
