The answer is simple; you can’t achieve your goals because you haven’t embraced and fully understood the obstacles in your way. These obstacles you face could come out of nowhere or be consequences of poor decision-making. Either way, many of us have run into the same obstacle in our life with a different face or name. As William Shakespeare put it, “a rose by any other name, would smell as sweet” and our obstacles, by whatever name they are given are still pretty stinky sometimes. That being said, I believe we are all called to learn certain lessons in this life and each obstacle we face is an opportunity for growth if we learn to open up and embrace them. Our ability to see our obstacles as opportunities for growth depends on how well we know ourselves. Usually we see our obstacles in two ways; either someone has attacked you in some way or you have done it to yourself through misinterpretation, lack of knowledge and/or confusion.
