Shapiro: Tom Sheff on Tuesday

This Tuesday, the voters of Newton and 31 other communities have another opportunity to elevate the level of integrity of the Governor’s Council.

It's worth noting that in the Democratic primary, 60 percent of voters chose to replace the incumbent.

Unfortunately I and the one other Democratic primary challenger split the “change” vote and 14 year incumbent Governor’s Councilor Marilyn Devaney advanced to the general election with just 40 percent support.

Independent challenger Tom Sheff will be on Tuesday's ballot. I know Tom. He’s a good guy from a wonderful Newton family and he cares deeply about contributing in a positive and meaningful way.

Most of all, he’s honest, principled, polite, and genuinely good natured. Tom will pour his heart into the Governor’s Councilor job and be a clear improvement over the incumbent.

Tom Sheff is worthy of your consideration and he has my vote this Tuesday.

More info at Tom's website.
