A newly engaged couple has opened a local business, walking dogs in Marlborough, Southborough, Westborough, Northborough, and Sudbury.  Their services include basic walks through the owner’s neighborhood, pet taxi services, and small group treks to local dog parks for more adventurous pooches!  The couple decided to open the business as an escape from the corporate world.  After years of working in retail, they realized that their happiest times consisted of the few moments when they took their own dog, Roe, out for walks through the woods.  “We will have to make some sacrifices to make this work, but we’re realizing what’s really important in life.  And from what we’ve learned about the economy the last few years, we know there are no guarantees,” says owner, James Calihan.  In a world where much of today’s news is about the financial crisis and the fiscal cliff, this young couple is taking their future into their own hands.  The company’s website (www.happycouplesdogwalking.com) is now live and the “happy couple” is waiting to hear from new clients.
