Walnut Hill School Responds to Marathon Bombing with Free Performance of Sleeping Beauty

Continuing to make and share art is one way the Walnut Hill School for the Arts hopes to help people respond in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing.

The Walnut Hill School for the Arts is inviting people in Natick and throughout the MetroWest community to join them for a free performance of their production of "Sleeping Beauty" this weekend at Natick High School.   In an email blast sent out yesterday afternoon, the school cited acclaimed composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, who once said, "This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before." "One of the most natural ways we can respond is by continuing to make and share art," the e-blast said in part, noting that tickets will be available at the door free of charge for "this light-hearted and family-friendly show."
