WWII Veteran, Gone at 86

Army Veteran Thomas F. Tobin died Thursday at 86.

 

Thomas F. Tobin, 86, of Marlborough died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at Madison House Care & Rehabilitation Center, Madison, Connecticut.

Tobin was raised and educated in Marlborough. He served in the European Theatre in World War II, receiving an honorable discharge before serving in the Army National Guard and retiring with the rank of Lt. Colonel in 1978.

Calling hours will be held Monday, Oct. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, at 378 Lincoln Street.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m., from the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home with a Mass at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church on Prospect Street. Burial will follow with military honors in Evergreen Cemetery on Wilson Street.
