Where is the Best Place to Have Breakfast in Marlborough?

In week five of Best of Patch: Readers' Choice we are asking readers to vote for their favorite breakfast spot.

Where is that one place you love to go for breakfast?

We all have our favorites, and while some of us hit them up almost every day of the week, others save that special stack of flapjacks for a special occasion.

Is it Jake's, the Big Apple DeliThe Coffee LoftStarbucks, the NexDine CafeHoney DewDunkin DonutsMcDonaldsBurger KingPanera Bread, the Sunny Side CafeBumpy's/The Main Street DinerSergio'sThe Cozy Cafe on Lincoln StreetStephen Anthony's or Subway

If we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add them immediately. Also, share the story with your friends, family and fellow patrons to help your favorite breakfast spot earn the win!

If you own or represent one of these businesses, follow the above link and claim your listing. It's completely free, and it will help you get the word to the community about what you do!

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. See the attached PDF for full contest rules.

Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at around noon Friday.

We went to Bumpys on Thursday last week, and found that on Thursdays it's Mom & Tots day, and if Mom buys a breakfast, the kid's is 1/2 price. And my son LOVED the dinosaur shaped pancake!!

Nah, I have to agree with Heather. Nobody does breakfast like Randy and Mary at Bumpy's.

Jakes. It's small, hard to park, and some of the best bad for you food in town.

Loaded hash browns with bacon, sour cream, chives and cheese. It's something like two dollars.. And I dare you to finish it. Toss a couple over medium on the side. Nothing but awesome.

Bananas Foster waffle with fried cheesecake chunks and caramel drizzle. Dizzy yet? Nah? Okay, then try the waffle they load with Cannoli filling and fruit... Or the Chocolate Eclair waffle. I am not kidding.

Bring a defribillator, they do not provide for the consequences you bring upon yourself!

While I agree w/ Mr Bishop.......I must say that the HOMEMADE Maple sausage at Stephen Anthony's trumps the fine hashbrowns at Jakes

Hmm. VERY good point. Not to mention there's a couple of hotels in the area with pretty good buffets. Also have noticed that Zarape (the new mexican place on Essex) has breakfasts, also.. not sure if I am up to Chorizo and Juevos Rancheros, going to need some other brave soul to tread that ground. Can you get a Margarita with breakfast? I'll vote for a Margarita as an even exchange for OJ, it's like half lime juice or something, right ?

Yes ....I've heard that the Buffet at one of the hotels down on rte 20 can be an especially good bargain if you time it just right :P

Stephen Anthony has the most amazing maple sausage. Last week the specials menu had Apple Pie French Toast and a Guinness Omelete among others. My favorite will always be the Anthony's Famous Maple Sausage breakfast though. I have grilled onions and swiss cheese and it is amazing. After breakfast you can visit the ducks and swans at the gazebo.

Jakes is reaaaaaallly FILTHY, DIRTY, NASTY.
RE- carpet the place will ya! Learn how how to keep a clean restaurant. They treat it like the customers it serves treats their house.
Best breakfast joint for Marlboro's finest white trash.

If it had a makeover, it would be best joint in the area.

Had some of the Maple Sausage yesterday morning. One of the better batches in a while, in my humble opinion. I need to get a walk in, and thinking of a late breakfast of overdone hash browns down at Jake's.

Jake's isn't dirty by any means. Sure the furniture and decor have been around for some time- they simply concentrate on what's important-- the food, and keeping it what it has always been- a local working man's diner. A hot plate of good food that won't break the bank.

What a charming remark, above.. I'm sure that your opinion is valued deeply by all.
