I like Price Chopper, here's why. A. they double all coupons $0.99 & under B. they accept competitors coupons (such as stop & shop & Hannafords & even Wegman's store coupons). C. the gas points.

Price Chopper got very high marks in a recent Consumer Reports poll. I like the discount on gasoline prices based on purchases in the store, and I like their coupon policy and well as their selection of merchandise - especially the produce and fresh fish. Wegman's is great - but it is just too far, the addition time and gasoline cost makes it a lower choice in my book.

I'm going with Wegman's simply because of their gluten-free options and prices...although I do like my gas points from Price Chopper :)

My mom became legally blind and couldn't drive anymore. She did all her shopping at price chopper. She got a one hundred dollar bill from someone so went to the service desk at the store in Marlboro to ask them to break it for her. The woman left us waiting 10 minutes while she was flirting and talking with some guy she knew-and this was not a young woman either. Then she was rude to us, it was like Jekyll and Hyde, she treated my mom like S**T and said "We're not a bank you know!" You have no idea how much I went off on this woman-I asked her if she would have given her "boyfriend" the same trouble she gave my Mom. The people behind us who all had to wait too were all nodding their heads in agreement.

What an evil person to say that to an 83 year old woman who just lost her eyesight and couldn't be independent anymore. I looked at my mom and said "you are NEVER coming back to this dump again!" And I never took her back. She shopped at Hannaford for the remainder of her days and never had a problem, They are so nice there.
