Snow Facts: 5 Things You Need To Know

Marlborough has yet again been hit with a snowstorm.

1. If you checked your Patch Facts column this morning you know that school was called off, but you may not have known that most sporting activities have been now canceled as well. For those teams that do not show cancellations, check directly with the athletic director's office for more information.

2. City government and the Marlborough Public Library are both open for business, though the library did not open until 11 a.m.

3. It appears Marlborough has received just over six inches of snow thus far. Here are the latest totals from the National Weather Service.

4. The snow is ripe for the sledding over at Ghiloni Park on Concord Road. The Department of Public Works is doing a great job keeping the main roads clear, but still use extreme caution while driving. For the big kids, here are the skiing conditions

5. And a reminder; winter is just beginning. Our area is fore-casted to receive another dose of snow towards the middle of next week. Prepare accordingly by stocking up on essentials like bags of salts, good shovels, and have an emergency plan in case of a power loss.
