Ringing in the New Year, Marlborough Style

There's plenty to do in this city.

 

New Year's Eve in Marlborough has something for everyone, whether it is a quiet dinner and/or a movie or a night of dancing at a local club.

For starters, there's Marlborough Country Club, with a special New Year's Eve dinner menu: Appetizers $4 - $10; Entrees $17 - $26; Children's Meals $6 and Dessert Specials. Firefly's Restaurant, 350 East Main St., will feature a comedy show at 8 p.m., followed by a 9:30 p.m. show with the rock band The Fools and a champagne toast at midnight. Menu is Italian, American, steak and seafood. Reservations required. 508-229-2583; Web site.

Movies are also an option for the big night. Regal Cinemas is a great bet for a wonderful night.

And if you're in the mood to give before your celebrations, donate blood.The Marlborough Community Blood Drive is Friday, Dec. 31, at 2:30 p.m. Hosted by the American Red Cross at Masonic Hall, everyone who donates a pint of blood will be receiving a coupon for a pound of Dunkin' Donuts coffee.
