Review This: Trombetta's

What's your favorite flavor?

Trombetta's Farm Road Gardens has long been a treasured ice cream shop.

Patrons rave about the quality and flavors. I remember as a kid growing up in Sudbury hoping we'd hit this place for an after-dinner treat. My mother, gone six years now, would always hope to catch their fresh peach ice cream on a night we went.

Have you been there recently? If so, how was the ice cream? What menu items would you recommend? What would make you go there more?

I have been frequenting the Creamery since I was LITTLE! We used to walk from Kane school with our 50 cents every year at the end of school and get an ice cream, then up to the airport to watch the planes. Can we say cheap field trip? Does Kane school still do this? I hope so!! I was there with my family on Saturday night. It was prettu crowded. I'm liking that they now have parking in the back. The Kids raved about my old favorite Rainbow Sherbet. I got a twist cone, and Ypu'd have thought I'd ordered an extra large instead of a medium.. My Husband got his favorite Red Raspberry chip. he was a bit disappointed since he said it's usually Bright red instead of somewhat pink, and used to have more raspberry flavor. Maybe he got a batch with less raspberry... The seating area was clean, and very crowded but we found a table. All in all, still LOVE going there!

We have hosted birthday parties for both of my kids here in recent years. It is always a simple, pleasant and affordable event and the kids enjoy it. The ice cream cakes are AMAZING and always a hit with the parents too! Trombetta's is really a destination. You can have lunch, ice cream, a round of mini-golf, browse some antiques, build a wooden toy and take home some plants for your garden all in one spot. And a family-owned local business to boot!
