We will probably not be returning to Fuji Steakhouse. While the sushi itself was decent, the service was less than acceptable. We stood by the host's podium for probably 10 minutes without being acknowledged before we finally made the first move and let them know that we would like a table. When we finally did get seated, our poor waitress had so many tables to cover that she couldn't possibly have paid the necessary amount of attention to each table. This, of course, was not her fault, but it was rather frustrating to never receive a refill on a glass of water. Perhaps this would be a fine place to eat at when it isn't a busy evening, but our experience has basically ruined it for us. We will be going elsewhere to get our sushi fix next time.

Wow, Mary Beth, I don't go often but it's one of my favorite places in town. I tend to stick to the stir fry though.. too much of a midwesterner to really get into sushi. I've tried many types, mind you- but it's nori, I think, that I may not like, or bonita. In any case, I really love the place because of their service. To hear that it was like that is truly surprising.. it must have been SWAMPED and they must have been understaffed. In my mind what has made them stand out isn't really the food (as good as it is) it's the service. I don't know, all I can say is maybe try them again they are not swampled like that. Both my kids consider it a potential "birthday dinner" destination.. and though it's sometimes months between my visits, somehow they remember my name. Nice folks, love the food and the show.
