Here at Marlborough Patch, we take social media pretty seriously.
The platform is one way we look to interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook, Twitter and other media throughout the past week.
We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.
Highlights of the Week:
Currently, we've got 639 fans liking us on Facebook, which is a great thing. We've also got 482 followers on Twitter, with numbers growing every day. Here are some highlights of what took place this week:
- The arrival of Hurricane Irene last Sunday brought with it lots of issues, and many of them were discussed on our Facebook page throughout the week. The page served as an almost real time updater for what was going on in Marlborough.
- Longtime Marlborough businessman Cosmo Valente was named the Grand Marshal of the Labor Day parade this week. The announcement was liked and shared on Facebook multiple time.
Social Media Page of the Week
The Vin Bin has just relocated to Main Street. The newly-remodeled digs are quite nice, so check them out next time you are downtown. Their Facebook page is frequently updated with deals and events.
