If your New Year's resolution has anything to do with giving back to the community, head to the Wayside Racquet and Swim Club this Thursday, January 6, from 2pm to 8pm for the Red Cross Blood Drive. 

The Red Cross holds a blood drive at the Wayside Racquet and Swim Club three times a year, although they usually hold three drives a month in Marlborough because of the consistent outpouring of community support. As a result, Marlborough locals have an amazing impact: just one unit or pint of blood can help three or more patients in need of transfusions. 

Although the experience of donating is a reward in itself, the American Red Cross is thanking those who donate in January with a coupon for one free pound of Dunkin' Donuts coffee. 

The Wayside Racquet and Swim Club is located on 80 Broadmeadow Street in Marlborough. Although walk-ins are always welcome, if you would like to schedule an appointment to donate, call 1-800-Red Cross, or log on to www.redcrossblood.org, and don't forget to bring a form of positive identification (i.e. license) when you donate!
