Q&A: What Would You Ask Elizabeth Warren?

With a live Q&A chat coming up on Friday, Patch wants to know what questions you'd ask the U.S. Senate candidate from Massachusetts.

If you could ask Massachusetts U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren a question, what would it be?

Elizabeth Warren will be joining us live on Friday, July 13, at 1:15 p.m., providing an opportunity for you to ask her where she stands on a particular issue or the upcoming election.

Wondering about her stance on the national debt? What about healthcare? Education? Leave your questions for Elizabeth Warren in the comments to have them considered for the live Q&A session.

To join Friday's chat, head on over to our homepage from 1:15 to 2 p.m. on Friday.s

I know how you stand on education and student loans but as a Senator would you vote stickly along party lines or compromise on the national debt, healthcare and issues vital to the middle class. Compromise is one of the key issues that make any good Senator or rep.

Would you support instituting say a five or ten year contract in lieu of "lifetime tenure" as a way of addressing the exorbitant high cost of a college education brought about by tenured professors who teach only a few classes per semester?

When will the state start cracking down on Illegals that are taking the jobs that citizens should have, everyone talks about it, everyone has a hotspot about the topic, but no one seems to be able to get anything done, can you? Will you?

Everyone seems to be an expert on how many people are out of work in the state, most seem to think the numbers are wrong and is a lot higher than published, Many think that when benefits are exhausted the state and federal governments lose track of these people and there are hundreds of thousands more out of work that the government can’t see now that they don’t collect any benefits. How will you make these people visible to the government?

Do you feel that government salaries and compensations are out of line with today’s economy?
If so, what will you do about it?

Lizzie,

1) As a Native American, where do you stand on abolishing the celebration of Columbus?
2) How many "middle-class" families do you know, that earn over $900k a year?
3) Finally, I am redoing my family room this weekend, do you have any advice on hanging wallpaper for a regular guy like me?

My advice--and I don't pretend to speak for Elizabeth Warren--is: DO NOT HANG WALLPAPER!!! Paint. You'll never get that wallpaper down again.

How can you in good conscience collect your $700K+ from Harvard University, but make political commercials telling us that you "feel the middle class' pain" when it comes to paying tuition? Do you not see the "kick in the teeth" irony to that?

Also, why did you get rid of your BMW 5 series weeks before announcing your candidacy? Is driving a Ford Escape Hybrid really going to win you THAT many votes?

So Chris--You are against people with big salaries? Romney. You are against people with big salaries who pretend to understand the working class American? Romney. You should really think about what it is you are against. Like that "protected" class of people--women.

Why did you duck the group of Cherokee women who wanted to meet with you to discus your claim?

I'd like to ask Professor Warren if she agrees with President Obama's proposal to raise taxes on those households earning over $250K per year, or with the earlier proposals of Sen. Charles Schumer and Rep. Nancy Pelosi that the limit be raised to $1 million because otherwise the tax increase will disproportionately fall on high cost/high income states like New York, California and Massachusetts?
