Oh My: Screaming (Cat)Women, Misidentified Cougar

We report the wacky and unusual police news from the region.

Cougar, dog, cat: same difference.

A Holliston caller reported seeing a cougar in a parking lot. Police said it is highly unlikely that this was actually a cougar; more than likely, it was a large cat or a dog.

The case of the attack kitten.

A Hopkinton resident reported a kitten was on her property and would not leave. The kitten chased the woman's car as the woman drove away.

Catfight!

A man called Milford police to report that two women walked into a house with a man, and then he heard the females scream for help. An officer checked it out and found nothing but "cats fighting in the street, which may have been what was heard."

Arson = also against the rules.

Marlborough police responded to a rooming house in their city, in response to allegations a resident wasn't following the rules. The woman had been asked to leave, and instead, set fire to the curtains in her room. She then left—in handcuffs.

Maybe that was the cougar the woman in Holliston saw.
