Oh My: Disoriented Skunk, Teen Stuck in Swing

We report unusual police items from the MetroWest area.

I thought yogurt was supposed to be healthy?

Northborough police received a call this week for a skunk with a yogurt container on its head running in circles in the roadway. Police were also advised that the animal was deceased; the DPW was called to remove it. Presumably the skunk was running around with the yogurt container before it died. If it was dead and running, well...we have to write a bigger story.

These two gems happened within 35 minutes of each other.

Early Tuesday morning in Milford, a man called police. An officer spoke to him and reported the caller "thought we were a taxi service, and it was explained that we were the police." The driver was intoxicated.

Appoximately a half hour later, another caller reported a shirtless man was walking around the neighborhood, throwing people's lawn decor around. Police are seeking to charge the man with malicious destruction of property.

It's all fun and games until someone gets stuck in a swing.

Shrewsbury police received a call Sunday for a teenage girl who was "stuck in a swing" at a local playground. Once removed, she was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

This happened to us with a racoon who got into the trash bucket and got his head stuck in a container that was empty but was for sour cream.....good grief, but he shook it off somehow very violently, we saw it thru the window, what a racket when we put on the flood lights.

Scary Karen! I'm not sure what I'd do if I saw that! As an animal person, I'd want to help, but I think I'd be afraid of any aggression!

I love animals, too, but in this case, they are wild, and we just watched from the window. They use their paws well to get out of it and it's amazing how they shake around and all. He was on his way. They don't like the lights when you put them on either, they tend to want to leave at that point. Thanks !
