Shrewsbury — Lorraine Fenwick Eck, of Shrewsbury, died Friday, Dec. 28 in Beaumont Nursing Facility in Worcester. She was 84.
Born in Shanghai, China, he worked as a civil engineer at the Taiwan Directorate General of Highways for more than 40 years. His most significant contributions included the construction of the new Chung-Hsing Bridge, the MacArthur Thruway construction, the West Coast Expressway planning, design and execution and Taiwan’s 10-year Highways Improvement Plan.
Northborough — Lindy L. Baker, aged 63 and born in Springfield, IL, retired Registered Nurse, died on Dec. 28 at University of Massachusetts Memorial Health Care – University Campus surrounded by her family at her bedside.
Baker graduated from St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, IL in 1970. She was retired from Northborough Pediatrics having served there as a Pediatric RN and Office Manager since its 1980 opening.
Hammond had worked for over 40 years as a machinist for The Morgan Construction Company in Worcester, retiring in 1995. He especially enjoyed his retirement years visiting Cape Cod and fishing in the company of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
