Ten residents of Marlborough are hitting the pavement today in the 116th Boston Marathon.

Each year a handful of local residents take to the pavement in the annual Boston Marathon.

Runners will begin the route from Hopkinton to Boston between 9 and 10 a.m., with the elite finishing around noon and the rest of the field coming in throughout the afternoon.

Today's Boston Marathon runners from Marlborough are: Peter J. Binkewicz, Gary Cattarin, Diane E. Cronin, Gael V. Henville, Issam Krieche, James Lipcon, Meghan Lipcon, Ken R. Mercier, Francis J. Moloney, Scott M. Patnode, Marc A. Reid, Courtney D. SlivaDouglas D. SylvesterJohn R. Tanner, Alycia LeDuc and Marie Leigh.

We will be posting updates throughout the day as to their progress, and will have their final times by the end of the race.
