Man Arrested with Cocaine Behind School
A man was arrested for having a substance believed to be cocaine on him while on the grounds of a Marlborough school.
Police arrested Severino Magno Barros, 27, of 106 River Street in Hudson behind the Immaculate Conception Middle School on Washington Street early Sunday morning.
Police observed someone walking behind the school shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday. When they approached the man, who was later identified as Barros, "he appeared extremely nervous and was shaking,” according to Detective Scott DeCiero, of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department.
When police patted Barros down, they found a substance they believed to be cocaine.
"They found a rolled dollar bill and the dollar bill had a powdery substance inside consistent with cocaine,” said Det. DeCiero. “A subsequent search of the person turned up a white powdery substance also constistant with cocaine."
