A Marlborough man that allegedly forced his then-pregnant girlfriend and another woman to perform sex acts for money at a Shrewsbury motel has had charges dismissed in Westborough District Court due to an imminent indictment in Worcester Superior Court.
Anthony Mannes, 38, of 36 Cross Street was charged following a special operation by Massachusetts State Police. He allegedly checked into a Shrewsbury hotel with two women, one 18 and the other 20 years-old before leaving the women in the hotel room, according to state police. This and other information prompted the investigation, according to state police. Mannes was eventually arrested in Connecticut.
Court records indicate the charges of trafficking persons for sexual servitude and deriving support from the earnings of a prostitute.
