Hazardous Weather Outlook for Marlborough Area

A strong line of thunderstorms is moving east and will affect the Marlborough area Monday.

 

The National Weather Service issued a weather statement Monday morning, stating that a line of strong thunderstorms is moving east from western Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The storm line extends to the south to Long Island Sound, and is producing frequent lightning strikes and torrential downpours. Wind gusts are reported to be up to 40 mph, with small hail.

The line is moving to the east at 50 mph and will affect the Marlborough area Monday morning. There is a low probability of severe thunderstorms. Locally, heavy rainfall may result in nuisance flooding.
