Hannaford is recalling nearly 30,000 pounds of ground beef in New England for fear of salmonella contamination.
The supermarket chain, based in Maine, announced the recall by Cargill Beef Monday. The recall applies to the 85 percent lean ground beef product, with a "use or sell by" date between May 29 and June 16.
Refunds will be offered for ground beef that is returned. Marlborough has a Hannaford's on Route 20.
The beef was produced at the Cargill Beef plant in Wyalusing, PA on May 25, and repackaged for sale at Hannaford Supermarkets, according to USA Today.
For more information, check the U.S. Department of Agriculture recall website.
This is the second ground beef recall for Hannaford in the past year.
