Fall in MetroWest Means ...

Autumn is in the air. What does that mean for you and your family?

The days are getting shorter. The mornings are starting cooler. Sweaters and other cold-weather gear is on the shelves at stores. Maybe you've been thinking about apple picking, cider-donut eating or pumpkins.

Can you feel it? Fall is approaching.

We want to know what it means to you! Tell us in the comments!

mmmm....Samantha. A tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. ;-)

Have you tried Rota Springs in Sterling??? My favorite, hands down. Take my word for it - it's worth the trip.

Normally, it would mean going for brisk evening walks and inhaling all those wonderful fall scents. But this year, it means staying in the house once the sun starts to set, hiding from mosquitoes that want to give me diseases.

Finding the best foliage pictures to take, autumn craft fairs, used to be the Bolton Fair until they moved it to Lancaster and changed it to the summer, I don't go anymore.

Apples, decorating the house for Halloween, and home cooked pot roast and soups.

I'm with Peg on taking pics. Here is an album I put on Facebook last year. I hope you can see it and I can update this year, if we ever get any good foliage. If you cannot see it go to my FB page and check my albums....lots of nature and area stuff.

Can anyone recommend a halloween "haunted" house appropriate for a 5 year old? my daughter just informed me she loves "spooky stuff" and halloween has beat out christmas as her favorite holiday. I just don't want her to have nightmares from something that is TOO spooky.
Suggestions?
