Drugs Near a School, Burglary and a Shooting
From a man caught with drugs near a school, a domestic disturbance call at the high school and the Monday night shooting; Marlborough police were busy this week.
fatal shooting of Bryce Coutinho by a Marlborough police officer. The officer has been placed on paid administrative leave while, following standard procedure, both the Middlesex District Attorney's Office and the Marlborough Police investigate the shooting.
Police also had to deal with a number of other incidents this week.
Corey Cheney, 22, of 18 Hastings Street, was within 1,000 feet of the Hildreth School when he was caught with prescription drugs, according to police. When police searched his vehicle they also allegedly found brass knuckles.
Three Marlborough men were nabbed in relation to a Shrewsbury robbery this week. The men were charged with breaking into a home and threatening the owner.
A domestic disturbance was reported at the Marlborough High School this week.
