My kids decorated our tree. Our extended family gives them collectable ornaments each year so most of the ornaments belong to them. There is one that commemorates when my friend Pat and I walked the Jimmy Fund Marathon walk, there are ornaments that my mom received from her students as well as others from my childhood. I made the tree skirt and the tree topper came from freecycle! I don't think it's the fanciest tree but we like it!

Christmas decorations can be a point of contention in some familes. Sometimes the tree smells too strong; other times the tree has a bald spot on one side. The worst is when you don't have enough room for all of the ornaments.

We think that it's our duty at Patch to help Marlborough residents share their decorating ideas and pictures of their best work.

Upload pictures of the trees you helped decorate and tell us what makes them special in the comments! Do you have a tree that you decorate outside? What about a tree with ornaments that represent significant milestones for your family?
