Community Cupboard Expands Services
The Marlborough Community Cupboard has expanded clothing services.
The Marlborough Community Cupboard has expanded services after receiving an upgrade over the summer.
“We have worked hard to implement changes that will expand our ability to provide support to those in need," said Carol Phipps, the manager of the Cupboard.
The services are part of new guidelines laid out by United Way of Tri-County, which oversees the Cupboard. A new area designated for clothing has been equipped with large racks donated by TJX.
The organization will also now take donations of all clothing and household items during their business hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The food pantry located in the Cupboard continues to be a resource to those in the community and receive donations from local groups. Those interested in hosting food or clothing drives may contact Barbara LaGrenade at the Cupboard.
The food pantry is open, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9a.m. to 1p.m. with additional evening hours on Wednesdays, 5 to 7p.m. to be added soon. To qualify for assistance at the food pantry, customers need the following: photo ID, income verification, confirmation of Marlborough residency and birth certificates for children.
More information about services at the Cupboard can be obtained by calling Carol Phipps, the pantry manager at (508) 481-4080 x 100.
