Alleged Armed Robber Turns Himself In

A Marlborough man who allegedly robbed a store using a knife turned himself in to police this week.

This Wednesday, police arrested Barry Richards, 26, of 581 Lincoln Street after he turned himself in at the Police Department on a warrant.

The warrant had been issued on charges of armed robbery while masked and assault with a dangerous weapon, according to Detective Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department.

“The man displayed a knife and demanded cash and fled the store," said DeCiero of the robbery of Post Road Pantry on Dec. 2, 2012.

Following an investigation, police sought an arrest warrant and Richards turned himself in, he said.
