1. The state Department of Public Health has confirmed the first incidence of EEE virus in a human in the state—and it was found in a resident of MetroWest. Where the man contracted the virus, however, is unclear. Still, it's as good a time as ever to be vigilant about protecting yourself from mosquitoes. They're more than just pesky.
