495 North Ramp Closed from 290 Eastbound

A crashed car carrier has closed the 495 North onramp from Route 290 East Bound.

The Massachusett Department of Transportation is reporting that the 495 North entrance from 290 East has been blocked.

The block has closed the ramp to 495 North at exit 26 A/B after a car carrier rolled over.

The Marlborough Fire Department was called to the scene. There were no injuries reported, but they were called in to deal with a small fuel spill, said fire officials.

Marlborough Deputy Fire Chief Fred Flynn said during a closure of 495 North in August that tractor trailer accidents on this ramp happen at least once or twice a year.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.

Would someone PLEASE redesign that off ramp? There's money being spent all over the place for unnecessary road repairs. Does it take someone dying to get something done?

The person who approved that ramp should be made to drive it twice a month at 40 mph in a semi loaded with C4.

That ramp is terrible! I always hold my breath when I approach it!

I guess it's all in your perspective. I used to look forward to that ramp when I commuted to Manchester. It was the only piece of actually curvy road until I hit New Hampshire.

That said, it is a complete hazard.
