3 Things to Know Post-Snowstorm
Snow totals and more concerning the Jan. 12, 2010 snowstorm.
1. According to the National Weather Service report, Marlborough received an excess of 19 inches of snow over the course of the day. The schools and city government were shut down with the exception of the DPW, Police, Fire, and the Mayor's office.
2. Pay attention to how much snow is on your roof. During this particular storm, an apartment building in Norwich, Conn. had to be evacuated because the roof caved in due to the weight of snow. Click here to find out how much is too much, and what to do about it.
3. The Police Department and DPW were unavailable for comment this morning, but local roads are for the most part clear, but continue to exercise caution in the roadways as temperatures are below freezing.
