3 Teens Arrested After 'Dropping In' on the Whitcomb School
Three juveniles were arrested early Tuesday morning when police caught them breaking in to the school cat burglar style.
The Marlborough Police Department reported three arrests in the early hours Tuesday, after officers discovered three young teenagers inside the Whitcomb Middle School equipped with a bag full of burglarious tools.
"Nothing was stolen or vandalized," said Det. Scott DeCiero. "They said they had entered the building from the roof."
Officers had been checking the building to make sure it was secure minutes after 3 a.m., and found a flashlight holding one of the building's doors open. Inside, police discovered the youths, one of which was holding a black bag filled with items meant to aid with the break-in.
The youths, two 15 years olds and a 14 year old, simply appeared to be mischievous, said police, and the reason for the break-in was not immediately evident.
The teens were, however, arrested and charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony and possession of burglarious instruments.
Police do not release the identities of minors arrested in such incidents.
