Cassidy Turley Announces Sale of 325 Turnpike Road in Southborough, Mass., to Ken's Foods
Cassidy Turley today announced a $15 million sale on behalf of Ken’s Foods, Inc. at 325 Turnpike Road in Southborough, Mass. Previously owned by Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, the 350,000-square-foot warehouse served as a former site of Verizon, which leased the building until 2009 and owned the building prior to leasing. The Marlborough-based company, which makes and distributes more than 400 dressings, marinades and sauces, will use the new space and its surrounding 51-acres for finished goods distribution.
“As a company with its roots in the Commonwealth, Ken’s Foods is looking forward to continued expansion in its home state,” said Bob Merchant, Chief Operating Officer at Ken’s Foods. “This new Order Fulfillment Center will help ensure that our customer service is top notch and second to none.”
Ken’s Foods, a family owned and operated company, has plant operations in Marlborough, Mass., McDonough, Ga., and Las Vegas, Nev. Its dressings were originally served at Ken’s Steak House in Framingham, Mass., and the company began bottling and distributing its products nationally in 1958.
Senior Managing Director, Principal Kevin Hanna represented Ken’s Foods in the transaction. Richards Barry Joyce & Partners’ John Lashar represented the seller, Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, in the transaction.
“With an extensive amount of surrounding land and a convenient location along Route 9, this property gives Ken’s Foods room to continue growing and expanding,” Hanna said. “As a member of the family that founded Ken’s Foods, I am excited to be part of a sale that will help the company continue to achieve its business goals for years to come.”
